Panhandle Eastern Pipe Line Co. has developed a computer system to analyze reciprocating gas compressor operation. This paper describes the system, MULTI-STAGE, that is used by company engineers to produce conceptual compressor designs, evaluate vendor quotes, and produce operating curve packages for both new and existing units.
