An American Enterprise Institute (AEI) response to President Carter's 1979 energy policy proposals took the form of a seminar for 40 members of the press. The edited transcript contains remarks by Milton Russell, William W. Hogan, Richard L. Gordon, Morris Adelman, and Edward J. Mitchell. Their presentations are followed by questions posed by the press and the answers of seminar participants. Of particular interest were the synfuels and strategic petroleum storage programs, the windfall profits tax, and other tariff and financial assistance programs. (DCK)
