Phenomenological chiral Lagrangians with allowance for gluon anomalies

Studies devoted to the construction of chiral Lagrangians with allowance for gluon anomalies are reviewed. Such Lagrangians can be regarded as effective Lagrangians for QCD in the limit of large N. The U(1) problem is solved and the characteristic decays of eta and eta' mesons are described.
