Half-life of /sup 180/Ta

Journal Article · · Phys. Rev. C; (United States)
A search has been made for ..gamma.. rays emitted following the electron-capture and/or ..beta../sup -/ decay of /sup 180/Ta. No excess of counts above background was observed in the vicinity of any of the expected ..gamma..-ray energies. From these results, lower limits on the partial half-lives of /sup 180/Ta against electron-capture and ..beta../sup -/ decay have been determined to be > or =5.6 x 10/sup 13/ years and > or =5.6 x 10/sup 13/ years, respectively.
