The {ital O}({alpha}{sub {ital s}}) QCD correction to the tree-level process {ital t}{r arrow}{ital H}{sup +}{ital b} is calculated. For small {ital M}{sub {ital H}}{sup +}/{ital m}{sub {ital t}}, the correction implies a 6% reduction in the partial width relative to the tree-level result.
