Kinetics of dissolution of iron subgroup metals in melts of InSb, GaSb, Bi/sub 2/Te/sub 3/, Sb/sub 2/Te/sub 3/, SnTe

The authors have used the rotating disk method to study the kinetics of interaction of Fe, Co, and Ni with the molten semiconductor compounds InSb, GaSb, and Bi/sub 2/Te/sub 3/, and also the interaction of Fe with liquid antimony and tin tellurides. They investigated the kinetics of dissolution of Fe, Co, and Ni in melts of the semiconductor compounds InSb, GaSb, Bi/sub 2/Te/sub 3/, and SnTe. They determined the parameters for dissolution and diffusion in the given systems. They determined the solubility of Fe, Co, and Ni in liquid InSb, GaSb, Bi/sub 2/Te/sub 3/, and also Fe in melts of Sb/sub 2/Te/sub 3/ and SnTe.
