High-energy inelastic nucleus-nucleus scattering and the influence of the structure of the projectile nuclei

On the basis of Glauber theory, nucleus-nucleus inelastic scattering amplitudes are given by using the rigid-projectile approximation. Inelastic scattering differential cross sections of ..cap alpha..+C/sup 12/ at 1.37 GeV with 2/sup +/ (4.43 MeV) and 3/sup -/ (9.64 MeV) of C/sup 12/ in the final state are calculated. The influence of the different density distributions of the projectile nuclei on the inelastic nucleus-nucleus scattering is discussed.
