Tesoro refinery expands

A $93 million expansion project to increase the capacity of Tesoro Alaska Petroleum Co.'s refinery at Nikiski from 46,000 barrels/day to 80,000 barrels/day is described. Actual construction of the refinery began in April, 1984 but about 2 years were spent on preplanning, design and engineering. The construction of the refinery expansion project is described.
