The chemistry of inorganic homo- and hetero-cycles. Volume II

Book ·
OSTI ID:6090696
Inorganic ring systems are one of the major developing areas of inorganic chemistry, providing inorganic analogues of organic heterocycle systems. This two-volume work provides the only entire integrated coverage of inorganic homo- and heterocycle ring systems. Each chapter has been written in the area under discussion. Major topics include: Homocycles based on boron, silicon, germanium, tin, phosphorous, arsenic, sulphur, and selenium; Heterocycles based on combinations of the above elements with nitrogen, oxygen, sulphur, and selenium. Each section includes a discussion of both the inorganic and the organic substituted derivations of these ring systems and extensively cites the literature. Other features of the book are that it provides information on compounds used as buildings blocks for inorganic polymers, provides much structural data on new types of inorganic compounds and includes new organoboron, -silicon, -aluminium, -germanium, and -tin compounds.
