This article argues for the privatization of the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA). A brief description of the federal oversight, management, financing and power production of the organization is described along with the problems associated with its nuclear program and the results of non-government borrowing. The basic elements of a privatization is included which describes the how the agency would be divided into several power production firms, a power transmission firm and separate nuclear power production firms.
