The nuclear g factors of the (17/2)/sup -/ and (21/2)/sup +/ isomeric states in /sup 91/Mo excited by pulsed heavy-ion reactions have been measured by the time-differential perturbed ..gamma..-ray angular distribution method. The spin precession of these isomers was observed in the hyperfine field of Mo recoil implanted into ferromagnetic Ni. The field was calibrated using a /sup 90/Mo isomer of known g factor. The results are g((17/2)/sup -/) = +0.531(7) and g((21/2)/sup +/) = +0.839(8), which can be well described in the framework of multiparticle shell model states using effective g factors of single particle states and the additivity relation.
