Status of Strategic Petroleum Reserve activities as of September 30, 1984

The Department of Energy reported that 70.1 million barrels of oil were delivered to the Strategic Petroleum Reserve during fiscal year 1984, for an average annual fill rate of 192,000 barrels per day. As of September 30, 1984, the Reserve contained 431.1 million barrels. This report discusses the progress being made in filling, developing, and operating the Reserve. It also discusses other events and activities affecting the Reserve that occurred during the fourth quarter of fiscal year 1984. 1 figure, 10 tables.
