OSTI ID:6055926
The author observed 290 (75) nu-N interactions with an e/sup -/(e/sup +/) but no muon in the final state. He studied the properties of 274 nu/sub e/ and 57 anti-nu/sub e/sup -//-induced charged current (CC) events. A comparison was also made with the 7737 nu/sub ..mu../ and 1183 anti-nu/sub ..mu../ CC events obtained under identical experimental conditions. For the remaining e/sup + -/ events, there are 12 ..mu../sup + -/e/sup -/ and 16 ..mu../sup -/e/sup +/ events in which the leading muon was not identified by the External Muon Identifier (EMI). The author also found 3(2) e/sup -/(e/sup +/) events that are consistent with charm production by neutral current (NC). He observed 1 K/sub s//sup 0/ and 1 ..lambda../sup 0/ in these 5 NC charm candidates. The relative rates for these NC charm productions were measured.
