Renewable energy in cities

Book ·
OSTI ID:6053631
The author has reviewed a book that provides city planners and decision makers with help in developing plans using both energy conservation and renewable energy technologies. In the first part of the book the reader learns about constraints to cope with: nature, land use, city buildings, energy supply, and socio-economic factors. The second part deals with energy applications: DHW and related energy saving options, space heating, energy saving techniques and solar energy conversion. The third part describes ways in which electricity can be saved. It starts with on-site conservation options and continues with small scale power production. The book concludes with a look at industrial process heat and fuels from renewable resources.
