Title: New color-magnitude diagram for the peculiar star cluster E3 C0921-770

Journal Article · · Publ. Astron. Soc. Pac.; (United States)
OSTI ID:6047268

New photoelectric, photometric and photographic data on the sparse cluster ES C0921-770 are reported. The study includes UBV photoelectric data to 17.3 mag, photographs with the Cerro Tololo telescope and UBV photometry to determine reddening. A sparse subgiant branch was found, indicating that the object is a globular cluster. Yellow stragglers were associated with the cluster. Deficiencies in red-giant and horizontal branch stars commend E3 to spectrographic surveys to establish its categorical membership and chemical abundances. 31 references.
