The {ital {rvec p}}+{sup 13}{rvec C} (polarized target) elastic-scattering spin observables {ital A}{sub 000{ital n}} (target analyzing power) and {ital A}{sub 00{ital n}{ital n}} (spin-correlation parameter) were determined at 497.5 MeV over the laboratory angular range 12{degree}--30{degree} with statistical uncertainties typically {plus minus}(0.02--0.06). Results of distorted-wave Born approximation calculations, based on either the relativistic or the nonrelativistic impulse approximation, are in reasonable agreement with these new data.
