Magnetic and electromagnetic shielding

Book ·
OSTI ID:6040438
Theory of shielding has so far been developed only for a high-permeability or high-conductivity medium of simple shape (such as spherical and cylindrical shells). For the purpose of practical application, this study of the theory of shielding by multiple shells, rectangular shells, cylindrical shells of finite length, etc. are discussed. This book was written to be useful for design shielding rooms, containers for magnetic samples, and shielding devices for electronic instruments. As an example of applying the theory of electromagnetic induction to the earth, the book is also of value.
