Angular distribution of fission fragments in interactions of /sup 12/C ions with various targets

Journal Article · · Chin. Phys.; (United States)
OSTI ID:6028090
Angular distributions of fission fragments were measured for a series of compound nuclei formed in the bombardment of /sup 169/Tm, /sup 175/Lu, /sup 181/Ta, W, Re, Pt, /sup 197/Au, Pb, and /sup 209/Bi by /sup 12/C ions with mica nuclear track detectors and gold surface-barrier silicon detectors. All the measured angular distribution can be fitted satisfactorily by the theoretical formula based on the statistical saddle-point model. The variation trend for /ital K//sup 2//sub 0/ with increasing excitation energy /ital E/* was given for various ranges of the fissility parameter /ital Z//sup 2///ital A/.
