Low-threshold stimulated emission by Nd/sup 3 +/ ions in NaLuGeO/sub 4/

In this article we report on the discovery of generation of stimulated emission by Nd/sup 3 +/ ions in NaLaGeO/sub 4/ at 300 K with a low excitation threshold E/sub t//sub h/ on the wavelengths of the two lasing channels /sup 4/F/sub 3/2/..-->../sup 4/I/sub 11/2/ and /sup 4/F/sub 3/2/..-->../sup 4/I/sub 13/2/.
