Excitation of helium by positron: A distorted wave polarized orbital approach

The differential and total cross sections for the 1 /sup 1/S-2 /sup 1/S excitation of helium by positron in the energy range 22-200 eV are calculated using a distorted wave polarized orbital approach. The results are compared with other available theoretical and experimental results.
