Photodisintegration of deuteron at low energies: Isolation of electric and magnetic contributions

It is proposed that measurements on the angular distribution and polarization of the outgoing nucleons in photodisintegration of the deuteron with low-energy linearly polarized gamma rays provide a unique opportunity to isolate the electric and magnetic dipole contributions.
