The calculation of the asymmetry parameter {alpha}{sub {ital h}} in {Xi}{sup {minus}}{r arrow}{Sigma}{sup {minus}}{gamma} is argued to be less model dependent than in other similar decays. Including short- and long-distance contributions, we find {alpha}{sub {ital h}}={minus}0.13{plus minus}0.15.
