Research on concrete examples of low frequency noise problems

In Japan there are many low frequency noise problems. Normally there are two sorts of low frequency noise(LFN) problems. One is that doors or windows are vibrated by a low frequency noise(LFN) and a rattling noises annoy a person. In this case sometimes the frequency is lower than 20 Hz and LFFN directly cannot be heard. Sound sources are highway bridges, boilers and diesel engines etc. The other is that LFN can be heard directly and a person is annoyed by it. In this case the frequency is sometimes higher than 20 Hz and the LFN is continuous. Sound sources are boilers, compressors, refrigerators, engines and motors etc.
