Prepared under the auspices of the joint FAO/ECE Working Party on Forest Economics and Statistics, this latest assessment of the forest resources in the ECE region is arranged in three sections. Part One contains general forest inventory data, while Part Two presents data on the volume and mass of tree and other woody biomass. Part Three explores the role of forests in supplying environmental and other non-wood goods and services. The appendixes include a handy listing of terms and definitions, long with sample questionnaires of each of the three parts.
