Nuclear emulsions with various atomic compositions have been used to study certain characteristics of inelastic interactions of carbon nuclei with momentum 50 GeV/c with the light (C, O) and heavy (Ag, Br) nuclei: the multiplicity of s and h particles, their dependence on the impact parameter of the colliding nuclei, and angular distribution of the fragments of the incident nucleus. It is shown that the experimental results are consistent with the model of independent collisions.
