550--689 nm laser synchronously pumped by a repetitively pulsed YAG laser

Four laser dyes were pumped by a repetitively pulsed, mode-locked YAG laser. A dye laser has been obtained with the following parameters: pulse repetition rate 20 Hz, peak power of the order of MW, average output power of the order of mW, spectral line-width 0.05 nm, wavelength tunable from 550.0--689.0 nm and pulse duration 30 ps. The output characteristics of the two matching dyes are compared experimentally.
