Scaling violation of inclusive single-hadron production in proton-proton collisions

The normalized inclusive single-hadron production cross section of negatively charged hadrons, (dsigma/dx)/sigma/sub 0/, is computed from the existing hadron-production data of pp collisions. Scaling-violation behavior is observed in (dsigma/dx)sigma/sub 0/; the scaling-violation pattern is qualitatively similar to that observed in e/sup +/e/sup -/ annihilation and is also comparable in magnitude.
