The objective of the study presented is to assess the technical and economic feasibility of retrofitting one of three existing oil-fired boilers to a coal-fired atmospheric fluidized bed combustion system. The boilers are each 88,000 lb/hr of steam units in a Brazil power plant. The study includes an inspection of existing equipment and a feasibility engineering and cost estimate for the retrofit and demonstration. (LEW)
