Refinery planning and optimization with microcomputers in Chevron

This paper discusses some of the applications of microcomputer software to the short-range planning future in Chevron refineries, short range being from one to 30 days. It is concluded that the personal computer has in fact improved the productivity and quality of the planning in the short-range planning environment.
