Chevron plans revamp of Richmond refinery

This paper reports that Chevron U.S.A. Products Co. plans a $750 million revamp of its Richmond, Calif., refinery in the San Francisco Bay area to help it meet changing specifications for motor fuels under clean air laws and improve plant operating efficiency and reliability. Chevron also plans, in cooperation with two state agencies in the San Francisco Bay area, a major water reclamation project tied to the 205,000 b/cd refinery.
