Mesic x rays of muons in fragments of prompt fission

Appearance of mesic x-ray lines is predicted in the spectrum of ..gamma.. rays of fragments from prompt fission of nuclei by negative muons. An estimate of this effect is given. An experiment for study of this phenomenon is discussed.
