Determination of the nucleon and pion form factors from data on the reaction. pi. /sup -/p. -->. e/sup +/e/sup -/n at E/sub. pi. / = 164 MeV

The isovector nucleon form factor and the pion form factor are found for a squared momentum transfer of 0.054 (GeV/c)/sup 2/. The cross sections corresponding to the production of virtual photons with transverse and longitudinal polarization are found.
