Proceedings of the sixth joint conference on applications of air pollution meteorology

The conference presented in this book focuses on new discoveries about the relation of meteorology to air pollution problems on four cover photographs. The smallest scale deals with turbulent plume interactions with the environment and the importance of early plume behavior on chemical development within the plume as it ages. The second scale involves the evolution of horizontally defined plumes into concentrated layers caused by vertical turbulence structure in the atmosphere. The third scale involves urban to mesoscale processes where point sources are mixed together by larger scale meteorological processes including rain systems. The fourth scale covers continental global processes.
