Basic physical properties of TATB (1,3,5-triamino, 2,4,6-trinitrobenzene) and TATB-based PBX's (plastic-bonded explosives) are needed, particularly to provide valid estimates of their long term thermal stability. Their thermal behavior in vacuum was studied by measuring the vapor pressures of TATB and two TATB-based PBX's. The equilibrium sublimation pressures and heats of sublimination of TATB and PBX's were determined in the temperature range of 150 to 200/sup 0/C.
