Statistical year book of the electric utility industry, 1980. [Monograph]

Book ·
OSTI ID:5912818
The principal US source of electricity is the total electric-utility industry segment which includes all plants commonly referred to as contributing to the public supply. Industrial, railroad, and railway plants are operated mainly for their own use, but through interconnections with utility systems make some contribution to the public supply. Complete information in this publication is given for the total electric-utility industry, except in the financial section where only investor-owned data are presented because the dissimilarity between investor-owned electric utilities and others of the component would make overall financial data incompatible even if it were available. The review is divided into 10 sections covering generating capacity, electric power supply, generation, fuel, energy, energy sales, customers, revenues, financial, and economics. 15 figures, 90 tables.
