Syntheses of 1-amino-2-(1-phenyl-2-adamantyl)ethane, (1-phenyl-4-adamantyl)-methylamine and 1-amino-2- 4-(1-adamantylphenyl) ethane and their transformation to the disulfides of the corresponding 2-mercaptoacetamidines are described. 4-Epoxymethyleneprotoadamantane was converted in 2 steps to 2-phenyl-1-adamantanecarboxylic acid, a precursor for the planned synthesis of (2-phenyl-1-adamantyl)alkylamines.
