Analyzing powers in the /sup 12/C(vector /sup 6/Li,. cap alpha. )/sup 16/O reaction at E(/sup 6/Li) = 20 MeV. [Exact finite-range DWBA, analyzing power, 20 MeV, angular distribution, alpha-cluster direct transfer]

Exact finite-range DWBA calculations were performed for the analyzing powers observed in the /sup 12/C(/sup 6/Li,d)/sup 16/O reaction at 20 MeV. The analysis was performed on the O/sup +/ ground state and 2/sup +/ E/sub x/ = 6.92 MeV state of the /sup 16/O residual nucleus, these transitions being particularly relevant for an alpha particle direct transfer. The results give a good description of these transitions in terms of an alpha cluster direct transfer. Thus the folding spin-orbit potential used seems to be well adapted to the description of the studied transitions. 6 references. (JFP)
