Use of solid extractants containing D2EHPA and TBP for separating the transplutonium elements

A method is considered for making solids impregnated with TBP and D2EHPA on the basis of chloromethylated styrene. The compositions of the extractants in the solids have been examined, along with the capacity characteristics for the rare-earth elements and sodium, the behavior in relation to curium and californium, the separation of plutonium, curium, and californium on columns, and the strength with which the reagent is held by the matrix.
