The strong CP problem and the possible Peccei-Quinn symmetry is discussed in a ''natural'' supersymmetric SU(N) for N = 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9. We also show that the R symmetry cannot be the Peccei-Quinn U(1) symmetry.
