New plant built to coat pipes for Dampier-to-Perth gas line

This paper discusses coating of a pipeline going to markets from the Northwest Shelf natural gas reserves offshore of the northern coast of Western Australia. It describes the internal and external coating processes of a pipe coating plant. The plant location at the Port of Geraldton is not only advantageous for coating of the Dampier-Perth pipeline, but it is also advantageously located for the coating of large diameter pipe from European and Japanese sources destined for oil and gas fields of Australia.
