ESR studies of thiyl free radicals in relation to biological effects of radiation. Termination report

This report consists of three parts: (1) generation of the RS free radical in a solid state adamantane matrix under isotropic conditions by photolysis: signal identity reevaluation; (2) absorption spectroscopy study of RS free radical formation from reaction of cysteine with ceric ion; and (3) in vivo studies of free radicals using an extracorporeal blood loop-ESR technique.
