The second level trigger of the L3 experiment

A second level trigger for the L3 expeiment at the CERN LEP collider has been constructed based on the microprogrammable eXpandable On-line Processor, XOP developed by CERN. The fast input memories as well as the FASTBUS interface unit which fully implements the XOP in Fastbus are described as well as the associated software developments.
