EG and G hazardous, radioactive mixed and special hazardous waste streams

This report provides updated lists of EG and G-generated hazardous, radioactive mixed, and special hazardous waste streams. EG and G activities at the various INEL and in-town facilities are reviewed, specifically those activities currently generating hazardous and/or radioactive mixed wastes. These identified wastes are described separately in tabular form where information such as composition, generation rate, and EPA hazardous waste designation are also included. The updated information dealing with EG and G's special hazardous waste is presented in a storage inventory list. The storage location, quantity, packaging, and present status of each waste are provided, if known. Finally, the EG and G inactive disposal (or CERCLA) sites, suspected or known to contain hazardous or radioactive mixed wastes, are identified and characterized as completely as possible. These inactive disposal sites are included because they may prove to be additional sources of either hazardous or radioactive mixed wastes when remedial cleanup activities are initiated.
