Utilization of urban wood wastes for sewage sludge incineration in Sapporo, Japan

Municipal wood wastes have been used since April 1983 in place of supplemental fossil fuel for the incineration of dewatered municipal sewage sludge (100 ton/day at 75% water content). Steam produced from burning of wood wastes and sludge was applied to a sludge dryer and to steam turbines.
