This conference was held May 19--22, 1997 in Kansas City, Missouri. The purpose of this conference was to provide a multidisciplinary forum for exchange of state-of-the-art information on innovative technologies for hazardous waste research. Topics of discussion include the following: metals; remediation of munitions compounds; analytical methods; remediation; vegetation-based remediation; vegetation-based bioremediation; nonaqueous phase liquids; biofilms and barriers; and partnerships and technology innovation. Individual papers have been processed separately for inclusion in the appropriate data bases.
