This annual report was published as part of the Commonwealth-sponsored energy research and development program under the auspices of the Kentucky Energy Cabinet (KEC). This report covers activities which were conducted by the University of Kentucky Institute for Mining and Minerals Research (IMMR) and funded by KEC and other governmental and industrial sources from July 1, 1982 to June 30, 1983. The IMMR operates the Kentucky Center for Energy Research Laboratory (KCERL) in Lexington, Kentucky, and sponsors other energy-related activities throughout the Commonwealth.
