The authors continue studies on high-molecular-weight cerium phosphates formed in the reaction of cerium compounds with ammonium phosphates. For synthesis, CeO/sub 2/ (TseOS grade), the salts Ce(NO/sub 3/)/sub 3/ x 6H/sub 2/O and Ce/sub 2/(SO/sub 4/)/sub 3/ x 8H/sub 2/O, and NH/sub 4/H/sub 2/PO/sub 4/ or (NH/sub 4/)/sub 2/HPO/sub 4/ were used. The thermal analysis curves of CeNH/sub 4/HP/sub 3/O/sub 10/ are shown, as is the IR spectrum and the x-ray diffraction characteristics. CeNH/sub 4/HP/sub 3/O/sub 10/ is the cerium binary acid triphosphate that was obtained in the reaction studied.
