Efficient narrow linewidth waveguide dye laser pumped by a CuCl laser

An efficient and narrow linewidth waveguide dye laser pumped by a CuCl laser is reported. The tunable dye laser output with a conversion efficiency of 12.5%, a linewidth of 4 GHz, broadband ASE background of 4.7% and a divergent angle of 3 mrad is obtained. The output characteristics for some dye laser resonators are compared.
