Improve ethylene's demethanizer

The operating pressure of the demethanizing system of an ethylene unit is a significant parameter for minimizing the total compression power required by the unit. Earlier designs used a high pressure, single-column demethanizer. The latest design uses a low-to-medium pressure, two-column demethanizer. The authors report that the result is an outstanding reduction in energy requirement.
