750 kV test line project announced

Announcement is made of plans to construct a 750-kV transmission line at Apple Grove, WV. Three test lines will be built at Apple Grove, each using a different conductor configuration. The lines will be energized simultaneously to measure radio-influence voltages and corona losses, permitting a comparison of test results under identical atmospheric conditions.
